Just rolled back in from Precinct 37's polling place, the lovely (and somewhat funny smelling) Hillcrest Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.
Got there at 0735 and sat down at the table with my ballot. Got to crackin' immediately with my vote for John Kerry. About halfway down my ballot, I hear the unmistakable baritone of my Papa...being his usual loud, a-little-too-outgoing self...followed by the "SHHH!" that I knew could only be my Nanny. Interestingly enough...if I recall correctly...I ran into them back in 2000, as well. I love living in small town America where you can unintentionally run into your grandparents at the polls in two consecutive presidential elections.
Nanny and Papa got their ballots and walked behind me on their way to an empty table. I made sure to cover my vote for John Kerry as my Papa grabbed the back of my neck (like he always does) when he walked by. Nanny knows I'm voting Kerry this time...but I think it might spark a major disagreement if Papa finds out. Both are hardcore Conservative Christians and HUGE Bush supporters. I love them just the same. ;)
Looks like it's about to rain AGAIN...it's been raining off and on since late Friday night. Thank God, the temperatures are finally getting close to what they should be in November. It was freakin' 85 all last week. Right now it's a lovely 53 outside with a projected high of 58. That said, Normal Texas Weather Theory tells us that it will either snow or be 90 degrees next week.
I think I'm gonna find something breakfast-like to eat around here. I've been living off of Halloween candy (well, I've been picking the Three Musketeers outta the bowl) for a couple of days now.
Look for new link buttons later today...I think I'm going to link a few friends' Xangas since they seem to have to be attention whores and use Xanga. Adios!

Hippie? Perhaps.
Honestly, several weeks ago I debated for a long time whether to vote Kerry or Badnarik. I just had a few more issues with the LP than the Dems.
